No ordinary turkey lunch

Located in the back of Söderhallarna, Ingelstan is almost like a hidden gem. It’s a bit oddly setup, butcher shop and restaurant in the same place, but you quickly find out that it’s worth it. On the restaurant side they appear to be focusing on lunch. On the market side they have all of your favorite things made from Turkey to take home and cook. The best thing is that they source nearly all of their products locally. This makes a difference when you are looking for fresh and tasteful poultry. The shop is specialized in turkey and you can find there anything you imagine from turkey bacon to the real deal, a large bird itself. A dear Swedish friend recommended me this place when I was looking for a turkey to bake during my first Christmas in town. Ingelstan it’s a perfect place for eating a casual scrumptious lunch, sitting-in or taking-away. Of course, it’s not the only restaurant in the market to check. However, it’s one that you need to taste first for sure. My favorite dishes there are the biffar, which is grilled turkey minced meet with spices and olives, and savory crepes filled with cream and turkey meat. Delicious! Warning: Do not expect a fancy sitting. You’re in a butcher shop, remember? I’m already a regular sinner there, you should be too!
